FAMILY FEUD
The NFL playoffs are just around the corner and that is when the football betting starts to get more serious around my house. I wish we had event tickets for the SuperBowl. There are always bets of some variety going on, but as the season goes on and the playoffs approach the amounts of money laid down keep getting bigger and bigger. I have three brothers and we all have different favorite teams. We are all expecting our teams to make, and to do well in the playoffs. The ultimate goal for each of us is to see his team win the Super bowl, and thereby take the other three’s paychecks along the way. It’s been like this for as long as I can remember, as kids we would wager our allowances for the week whenever our teams met head to head, and come playoff time – if all four of our teams were still playing, the house was in utter mayhem. I can remember on several occasions, the arguments got so heated that fights actually broke out and cooler heads almost never prevailed. It may seem a little bit childish to the outside observer of our family and it probably is, but something about rooting for and betting on our favorite teams makes us crazy.
